Retail workers – we want you!

leave a comment »

Do you work in retail? Do you know anybody who works in retail? If so, I’d love to chat with you some time this week!

I’m working with a freelance journalist, Caitlin Kelly, who is writing a memoir about working for a major clothing manufacturer in a New York suburb. She’s interested in interviewing people who currently work in retail–it could be a clothing store, a stationery store, a grocery store; a mom and pop business or a major corporate chain–and have been doing so for 3 years or more.

Among the questions she has: Why do you do it? What do you like about it? What do you hate about it? Do you want to do this as a career, are you biding your time for something better, or have you been forced to do this out of necessity?

If you’re interested in being interviewed, send me an email at peter DOT holslin AT gmail DOT com and we’ll chat!
