“The charge, brought under a law dating to 1883, accused him of conspiring ‘with others to cause explosions of a nature likely to endanger life or cause serious injury.’ It carries a maximum life sentence. The police said Dr. Abdulla would be arraigned Saturday.” – A report today in the Times about Dr. Bilal Abdulla and Khalil Ahmed, the errant London bombers.

And what, no solitary confinement? No special “terrorism” charges? Psh.

By the by, the New Yorker just ran a terrificly revealing piece on who else but the Taliban–and the blooming fields of poppy which fund them. By Jon Lee Anderson.
